Hand-welded steel Crittall-style door with a glazed sidelight in a bright London hallway

Crittall-style,
in real steel.

Hot-rolled steel, welded by hand and made to your opening. Supplied and fitted across London, from £1,999 +VAT.

01Broken-plan, not closed off

Divide the space. Keep the light.

A glazed steel partition stops the noise and the cooking smells, and lets the light through. The frame is welded by hand, then ground back until it reads as one continuous line. No hairline joints, nothing to open up at the corners.

StiffnessAround three times stiffer than aluminium. That is what keeps a slim sightline straight for decades.
Rust protectionShot-blasted, zinc-rich primer, powder coat baked on. It holds even in a bathroom.
Made to orderNo catalogue sizes. Measured at survey, made for one opening.

05Made to the opening

Five ways to hang steel. Six ways to glaze it.

01

Hinged and French

Single doors and French pairs, the classic way into a kitchen, study or garden room.

Single or pair · sidelights · top lights
02

Sliding and pocket

On a track, or gone into the wall with a telescopic pocket. For openings where a swing fights the furniture.

Sliding · telescopic pocket
03

Pivot and fixed

A pivot carries the largest single leaves. Fixed screens divide without any door at all.

Pivot to ~2000mm · fixed screens
04

Glass

Clear for light, reeded or fluted for a blur, frosted for privacy, smoked for mood, antique mirror for a small room.

Options depend on your project configuration, confirmed at survey

07Supply and fit

Measured, seen, then fitted.

A steel leaf is heavy enough to pull standard fixings out of plasterboard. That is why we fit it ourselves.

08Asked before every survey

The questions that matter.

Why does steel cost more than aluminium look-alikes?
You pay for the craft, not the metal. Every joint is welded by hand and ground back, so the frame is one piece. Mechanically joined frames can open up at the corners over time. A welded one cannot.
Will they rust?
No. Frames are shot-blasted, primed with a zinc-rich coat and finished with an oven-baked powder coat. The rusty reputation belongs to poorly primed frames of the 1930s.
Can my builder fit them?
The wall needs proper timber noggins at first fix, and the leaf is heavy. We supply and fit with our own team, agree timing with your builder and take responsibility end to end.
What if they do not look how I imagined?
They will, because you see them first. We laser-measure the opening and render your doors in your interior for approval before production.
Is the glass safe for children and pets?
Yes. Toughened safety glass as standard, laminated where the project calls for it. PAS24 tested options available.
